Backwoods Promotions Inc. is thrilled to announce that our agency has been certified as a Women Business Enterprise employer by WBE Canada. The certification process was initiated in April and involved submitting documentation to verify that our agency is at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by women. In addition to certification, WBE Canada offers education, training, coaching and mentoring programs that increase the ability of women business owners to bid successfully on large procurement opportunities.

WBE certification is built on the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) US model following global supplier diversity standards and is recognized by such giants as IBM, General Motors, Toyota, Accenture, and top Canadian companies like BMO, TD Bank, RBC, TELUS, Rogers, Bell and others.

Established in 2012, Backwoods Promotions was created by Jessica Kline to provide women with opportunities to work in traditionally male dominated fields, including the automotive, motorsports and the outdoors industries. Over the years, our work has expanded to the sporting, recreation and liquor industries as well. It has always been our mandate to encourage not only women, but also men, to PROMOTE WHAT THEY LOVE ® and to pursue their passion, whatever that may be. With this certification, we look forward to connecting with other like-minded women-owned companies to continue to build our resources and networks together.
