An enthusiast by definition is ‘a person who is very interested in a particular activity and who spends a lot of time on it’. They tend to be information seekers and play a very important role in the transfer of new information to the consumers. At Backwoods Promotions, we have adopted an “enthusiasts first” mentality, originally working to pair brand ambassadors who have a passion for the outdoors and motorsports industries with our clients in the same industries. Over the years our work has expanded to the sporting, technology and liquor industries as well, and so our role in staffing involves sourcing staff who are enthusiasts in these areas as well. We have cultivated relationships within different niche’s, trade skills, adventure and outdoor groups. Many of our staff who have been with us for years, grow with us, and each of their unique hobbies outside of work develops their character and endeavor to keep pushing the envelope. So, you may ask, what makes an enthusiast?

We asked several of our team members that very question —and their answers reflected not only the passion of their hobbies, but the lifestyle and continual mission to learn more about the world around them. Our interests vary widely; from motorcycle riding, off-road ATV racing, deep sea fishing, backcountry snowmobiling, barrel racing,  music writing, even target and clay shooting.

“I learn more about myself every moment of doing something I love. It challenges you, it teaches you what you’ll do when faced with something difficult. Once you crush a goal you want to set another one and another one.”  -Jessica J, outdoor enthusiast.

So how will hiring brand enthusiasts for your next event or tradeshow benefit your business?

You can trust their ideas because they know your product or services

Your best consumers aren’t just a source of revenue – they’re truly passionate and use your products in unique ways. Thisallows you to tap into their creative energy! Innovations are the key to long term success and growth, and by building a culture of brand enthusiasts, you’re able to develop new ideas that are in tune with your consumers’ wishes and desires.

They’re already passionate about your brand, mission, and values

Your brand is more than just the sum of your products and services – it encompasses everything from the tone of your message to your core values. And while you can try to instill those elements into your employees through onboarding and training, your brand enthusiasts represent a group that already understands and embraces your company values.

They’re able to connect with your customers because they’re also customers

Every great company tries to listen closely to its consumers, because empathizing with them can help you to better understand their needs. By bringing brand enthusiasts onto your team, you give yourself an easy way to tap into that empathy on a regular basis.

Persistence in excellence is something we strive for in our company, yet that drive does not end once we leave the office. Setting goals and achieving them off the track is just as important. Tenacious dreams fueled by perseverance drive what we do in each moment of our craft. Also, for many of our teams that live across the nation in different landscapes it provides emotional gratification of getting away and relaxation.

“Losing yourself in the tempo of music is something that gives me so much peace in a fast paced world. It’s a euphoric sense of freedom I cannot find anywhere else.” Jazzmine, music enthusiast.

Whatever your passion may be, keep it, hold tight to it, explore it, challenge it, and most of all enjoy it. We at Backwoods Promotions support you and want you to dig in—-enjoy the world around you! Never stop exploring and reaching new heights!
