Ok, we get it. There are so many great fishing spots, how can we choose only six? It was a hard pick but with the help of a few of our brand ambassadors both in the USA and Canada we were able to narrow it down for you. Read on to see our favourite 6 fishing locations!

 



USA
You may not think of cities when you are planning a fishing trip. However, the following places are not only great to reel in your next personal record but each destination offers a unique feel with plenty of activities, restaurants, and shows to enjoy when you get off the water.



Boston, MA
Fishermen and women live to see & feel their pole tugging away and you can bet you’re in for a treat when you visit Boston, Massachusetts. Right in the Boston Harbor you can hook massive Striped Bass or delicious Flounder at Quincy Bay. For an avid angler ready to venture further away from the shoreline, you can expect to hook large Pollock and Haddock. Looking for more of an adrenaline rush? Beyond the shore when you cast out be prepared to fight the force of Bluefin Tuna or large Sharks! Once you’re ready to kick back and relax, Boston offers great shows, restaurants, and trendy spots for a refreshing drink.

Charleston, SC
Charleston, South Carolina is home to some of the nation’s best outdoor recreation. You can comb the Lowcountry marshes in search of monster Redfish and Flounder. Test your strength against Tarpon, Bull Sharks or fish the reefs for some amazing Snappers and Groupers. You can even head offshore to target Sailfish, Marlin, and Yellowfin Tuna. Charleston is South Carolina’s oldest city and is well known as a cultural hot spot in the south and repeatedly voted America’s friendliest. The city is also filled with Greek and Gothic Revival architecture and has a famous music scene - ripe for all types of enthusiasts.

Baltimore, MD
Hidden deep in the Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore also has access to some of the best fishing in the country. Anglers can be seen exploring the Middle and Upper Chesapeake Bay in search of Stripers, Bluefish, Seabass, Flounder, Tautog, and delicious Blue Crab. Otherwise, hit the Patapsco River to reel in Perch, Carp, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass. Cruise any shore line and you will of course see locals harvesting tasty Maryland Blue Crabs. Lastly, Baltimore is a cultural hub and known for a great jazz scene, an awesome aquarium, and some of the best seafood in the country!

 Canada
From flying fishing, ice fishing, and boat trolling, Canada draws millions of locals and tourists to it’s most popular fishing spots year round to fish among over 200 different fish species. 


Ucluelet, British Columbia
First stop is Ucluelet, British Columbia.This fishing destination used to be known as a small, quiet spot but over the years it has gained much popularity for its busy waters filled with giant Pacific Halibut and Chinook Salmon that can weigh well over 30lbs. If Ucluelet is on your list of places to visit, it’s best to go May through September. Depending on the species of fish you are looking to reel it, Chinook is uncommon to catch during the summer months vs Coho Salmon.

Mississauga, Lake Ontario, Ontario
All year round you can experience abundant waters and live action. The surrounding cities offer fishing guides showcasing a variety of species found in the waters to different fishing techniques. It is recommended to visit between May through October and to plan your trip around your favorite fish. Trout will be waiting to take your bait during the warmer spring and summer months, where you can expect to catch large Lake Trout, Steelhead, and Brown Trout. June through October are all great months for Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass. If you are looking to catch Salmon (Coho & Chinook) you’ll want to venture deep in the waters during the summer since they prefer cooler water temperatures. Adding to the angler’s excitement is the Great Ontario Salmon Derby that lasts for 50 days and attracts over 22,000 participants.

Lake Diefenbaker, Saskatchewan
Are you a fan of Rainbow Trout? Lake Diefenbaker may be an artificially built lake but is known for record breaking Rainbow Trout and is surrounded by countless bays and deep ravines filled with Whitefish, Northern Pike, Walleye, and Yellow Perch. Although you can fish here September  through October the best time to cast out is during the warm summer months, May through June, where you can also participate in different fishing tournaments each month.
